Goa floods: Govt estimates crop loss of 1,500 hectares

After heavy rain lashed Goa last week and left fields inundated, the crop loss across the state is estimated at 1,500 hectares. Paddy, which was sowed last month, is reported to have been worst hit while the Moira variety of banana has taken a beating among horticulture crops.
