Goan employed in Finland dies

Panaji: The Goa NRI Commission is communicating with the Indian embassy in Helsinki, Finland, over the death of Shyamal Rosario, 55, a resident of Vasco who expired there on August 5, after suffering a heart attack.

Rosario was employed as a chef in an Indian restaurant 'Ravintola Om', which is located in Hameenlinna, south of Finland.

The embassy has informed the commission that it is in touch with his sponsor and is trying to contact funeral companies for the transportation of his mortal remains to Goa. Flight details will be shared with Rosario's family as soon as procedures are complete.
